Steven D. Brown
Steve is a partner at Spengler Brown Law Offices and partnered with Attorney Daniel Spengler in January 2021. Early on, Steve gained practical legal experience as a legal assistant working in a well-established Lehigh Valley law firm, Scherline & Associates. He gained firsthand knowledge of the difficulties clients and their families endure when accidents happen, accumulation of medical bills, out-of-pocket expenses, loss of employment, property damage, lost wages, and the devastating long-lasting (sometimes permanent) effects injuries have on victims and their families. His early experience has helped shape his practice, becoming an aggressive trial attorney who will fight to get his clients compensated.
Primary Areas of Practice
Steve’s primary areas of practice are personal injury cases resulting from automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, tractor trailer accidents, dog bites, burns, and premise liability cases, including slip/trip and fall accidents. He is knowledgeable of injuries to the neck, spine, back, head (traumatic brain injury, concussion) knees, shoulders, fractures, and scars.
Additionally, Steve handles landlord-tenant matters having represented both landlords and tenants on eviction matters.
Education and Professional Background
Prior to attending law school, Steve worked as a legal assistant at Scherline & Associates for ten years. Eager to begin his legal career combined with his practical and professional experience, Steve earned his Juris Doctorate at Vermont Law School located in South Royalton, Vermont in just two years. He graduated from Vermont Law School in 2016. While at VLS, he was a member of the Criminal Law Society, and clerked at the Windsor County State’s Attorney’s Office in White River Junction, Vermont.
After graduating from Vermont Law School, Steve moved back to the Lehigh Valley to be closer to his family and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2017.
After passing the Pennsylvania Bar in 2017, he was immediately hired as an associate at a well-established law firm in Easton, Pennsylvania, from October 2017 to December 2020. As an associate he represented numerous clients in personal injury cases, including obtaining his largest victory in his early career, $190,000.00 for a car accident victim who suffered a broken neck and leg.
